Biography
Parizadeh, the Amsterdam based lifestyle company, have been active in the clothing industry for more than a decade with distinctive yet classic designs.

The founder of the company Roshanak Parizadeh was born in Persia where she developed a taste for clothing construction at her mothers vocational school. Countless after school hours there by the sewing machines, helped her in understanding the manufacturing process and pattern making. This led to a very pragmatic approach to design, which is still strongly present in the current creative process.

The young designers move to Amsterdam The Netherlands in 1988 opened commercial possibilities to pursue the life long passion of clothing making as a career. Roshanak began with made to size gowns and outer wear, and soon pieces of lingerie and a collection of swimwear were added to the portfolio. Gradually, the focus shifted more and more towards bodywear, and it was particularly Roshanak's luxurious lingerie designs that caught the public eye.

In 2002 Parizadeh won the competition Royal Wedding with the underwear design for Willem-Alexander, Prince of Orange.

For her contribution in the Dutch society and influence on empowerment of women and participation, Roshanak Parizadeh received the Zami award in 1999. The award recognizes and honors strength, dedication, quality and uniqueness of migrant women.
